    ChatGPT Business

OpenAI's assistant for teams, with ChatGPT and Codex across desktop and mobile, admin controls and SSO.

    chatgpt.com

    9.1

    out of 10

Best for: Teams that want the most widely used AI assistant with business data protections.

ChatGPT is the default AI assistant for a reason: it covers writing, analysis, research, images, voice and coding in one app that most people already know how to use. The Business plan gives a team a secure, dedicated workspace with admin controls, SAML SSO and MFA, access to ChatGPT and Codex on desktop and mobile, and no training on business data by default. Features such as deep research, projects, scheduled tasks and custom GPTs turn it into a daily work tool rather than a chat window.

At $20 per user per month on annual billing, or $25 monthly, it is priced in line with rivals, but it needs at least two users and the stronger controls, such as SCIM, EKM and role-based access, are reserved for Enterprise. For most small and mid-sized teams, ChatGPT Business is the safest first rollout.

    Standout feature

One business seat covers both ChatGPT and the Codex coding agent.

    Use cases

    • Marketing teams

Draft and edit campaigns in shared projects

Outcome: Faster content with shared context

    • Analysts

Run deep research on a market question

      Outcome: Cited briefs in minutes

    • Engineers

Use Codex under the same subscription

Outcome: One tool budget for the whole team

    Key features

    • ChatGPT and Codex on desktop and mobile apps
    • Deep research, projects, scheduled tasks and custom GPTs
    • Image creation and voice chat
    • ChatGPT Work for agent tasks across apps
    • Dedicated workspace with admin controls, SAML SSO and MFA

    Pros

    • Familiar interface most employees already know
    • No training on business data by default
    • Codex included for technical staff

    Cons

    • Business requires at least 2 users
    • Advanced security such as SCIM and EKM needs Enterprise
  2. Rank 2 · Runner-up

    Claude

Anthropic's AI assistant for writing, analysis and coding, with Claude Code, Cowork, connectors and enterprise search on Team.

    claude.com

    8.9

    out of 10

Best for: Teams doing long-form writing, analysis and technical work.

Claude is a strong all-round work assistant with a particular edge in long documents, careful writing and technical work. Even the free plan includes web search, file creation, code execution, memory, connected apps and Artifacts, and Pro adds more usage, scheduled tasks, Claude Code and Claude in Chrome and Microsoft 365. The Team plan, for 2 to 150 people, bundles Claude Code and Claude Cowork, Design, Slides and Docs, enterprise search across your organization, SSO and admin controls for connectors.

Pricing matches ChatGPT at $20 per standard seat per month on annual billing, and premium seats with five times the usage cost $100, so heavy users can get more capacity without upgrading everyone. Usage limits reset every five hours and weekly, which power users notice. For teams whose work is mostly writing, analysis and code, Claude is an excellent choice.

    Standout feature

Team plans can mix standard and premium seats, so only heavy users pay for more capacity.

    Use cases

    • Consultants

Analyze long reports and draft client memos

      Outcome: Higher-quality deliverables faster

    • Operations teams

Search company knowledge with enterprise search

Outcome: Answers without hunting through tools

    Key features

    • Chat on web, desktop and mobile with memory and connected apps
    • Claude Code and Claude Cowork on Team
    • Claude Design, Slides and Docs
    • Enterprise search across your organization on Team
    • Claude in Chrome and Microsoft 365

    Pros

    • Free plan includes web search, file creation and code execution
    • Team mixes standard and premium seats
    • No model training on Team content by default

    Cons

    • Usage limits reset every 5 hours and weekly
    • Team plan is capped at 150 people; larger companies need Enterprise
  3. Rank 3 · Also great

    Google Gemini

Google's AI assistant with Deep Research, Gemini Live, Notebook and Gemini inside Gmail, Vids and other Google apps.

    gemini.google

    8.9

    out of 10

Best for: People and teams who live in Gmail, Docs and Google Drive.

If your work runs on Google, Gemini is the most convenient assistant and the best value. The free plan already includes Deep Research, Gemini Live, Canvas, Gems and image generation, and Google AI Plus at $4.99 a month doubles usage, adds Gemini directly in Gmail, Vids and other Google apps, and bundles 400 GB of storage. AI Pro at $19.99 raises limits further and adds Google's Pro model.

Gemini's limits are described as multiples of the free plan rather than clear numbers, and it connects to fewer outside tools than ChatGPT or Claude, so teams that rely on Slack, Notion or Salesforce may get less from it. For anyone whose inbox, documents and calendar are in Google, it is the cheapest way to get a capable assistant where the work already happens.

    Standout feature

Gemini inside Gmail and Google apps starts at $4.99 a month.

    Use cases

    • Small business owners

Draft and summarize email in Gmail

      Outcome: Inbox time cut down

    • Researchers

Run Deep Research and organize notes in Gemini Notebook

Outcome: Sources and drafts in one place

    Key features

    • Gemini in Gmail, Vids and other Google apps on AI Plus
    • Deep Research, Canvas, Gems and Gemini Live
    • Gemini Notebook research and writing assistant
    • Image and video generation
    • Bundled cloud storage, 400 GB on AI Plus

    Pros

    • Very low entry price at $4.99 a month
    • Works directly inside Google apps
    • Generous free tier

    Cons

    • Usage limits are described as multiples of the free tier
    • Fewer third-party connectors than ChatGPT or Claude
  4. Rank 4

    Microsoft 365 Copilot

Microsoft's AI assistant inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, sold as an add-on or bundled with Microsoft 365.

    microsoft.com

    8.4

    out of 10

Best for: Companies standardized on Microsoft 365.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is the obvious choice for organizations that already run on Microsoft. It works inside the apps people use all day, and Microsoft now sells it both as an add-on, currently from $18 per user per month on annual billing, and bundled into Microsoft 365 Business Standard at $23.50 or Business Premium at $32, which also include Teams, Exchange, OneDrive and SharePoint, and in Premium's case Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Purview.

The downsides are commitment and cost clarity. Advertised prices assume an annual subscription, and select advanced AI features are billed by usage on top. Copilot's value also depends on how well your files and permissions are organized in SharePoint and OneDrive. For Microsoft-centric companies that want AI with existing security controls, it is the most natural fit.

    Standout feature

It works inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams under existing Microsoft security controls.

    Use cases

    • Finance teams

Analyze spreadsheets in Excel with Copilot

      Outcome: Faster reporting

    • Managers

Recap Teams meetings and draft follow-ups in Outlook

      Outcome: Less admin after meetings

    Key features

    • Copilot built into Microsoft 365 apps
    • Bundles with Exchange, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint on Business Standard
    • Security bundle with Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Purview on Business Premium
    • Usage-based billing for select advanced AI features
    • Free trial available

    Pros

    • Works inside the apps employees already use
    • Bundles reduce the effective cost of Copilot
    • Strong security and compliance tooling in Premium

    Cons

    • Annual subscription required for the advertised prices
    • Some advanced AI features are billed by usage on top
  5. Rank 5

    Notion AI

AI built into the Notion workspace, with Notion Agent, AI meeting notes and enterprise search on the Business plan.

    notion.com

    8.4

    out of 10

Best for: Teams that already keep their docs, wikis and projects in Notion.

Notion AI is most useful for teams whose knowledge already lives in Notion. On the Business plan, Notion Agent completes multi-step tasks using context from your workspace, connected apps and the web, AI Meeting Notes record and summarize meetings without a bot joining, and Enterprise Search, in beta, looks across connected apps such as Slack and GitHub. Autonomous agents can handle repetitive work, billed at $10 per 1,000 credits after a free trial.

The free and Plus plans only include a trial of Notion AI, so teams need Business at $20 per member a month for the full set, and heavy agent use adds credit costs. If your team does not use Notion for docs and projects, a general assistant will do more for the money. For Notion-based teams, it removes a lot of copying between tools.

    Standout feature

AI Meeting Notes capture and summarize meetings without a bot joining the call.

    Use cases

    • Product teams

Turn meeting notes into Notion tasks automatically

Outcome: Follow-ups that do not get lost

    • Operations leads

Search wiki pages and Slack in one query

Outcome: Faster answers for the team

    Key features

    • Notion Agent for multi-step tasks using Notion, connected apps and the web
    • AI Meeting Notes without a bot
    • Enterprise Search across Slack, GitHub and more (beta)
    • Autonomous AI agents billed by credits
    • SAML SSO on Business

    Pros

    • Uses the context already in your Notion workspace
    • Meeting notes work without a bot joining calls
    • One tool for docs, projects and AI

    Cons

    • Full AI features require the $20 Business plan
    • Autonomous agents cost extra credits
  6. Rank 6

    Fluidwave

A free AI productivity app that organizes tasks, email, calendar, contacts and notes in one place, with Slack sync.

    fluidwave.com

    8.3

    out of 10

Best for: Founders, freelancers and busy professionals who want an AI planner for free.

Fluidwave focuses on the part of work that general chatbots ignore: knowing what to do next. It gathers tasks, email, calendar, contacts and notes in one place, auto-prioritizes tasks by urgency and importance, and breaks big tasks into small, doable steps. Its Slack app captures tasks from conversations and turns any Fluidwave list into a Kanban board in a channel, with edits synced both ways.

It is completely free, with no subscription or card, and the company says it plans to earn money through a task delegation marketplace instead. The email, calendar, contacts and notes features are still marked beta, and it does not replace ChatGPT or Claude for research and writing. As a free AI planner that keeps your day organized, it is excellent value.

    Standout feature

It is completely free, including AI prioritization and Slack board sync.

    Use cases

    • Freelancers

Capture and prioritize client tasks in one list

Outcome: Clear next step every morning

    • Small teams on Slack

Sync a Fluidwave list to a channel board

Outcome: Shared tasks without another tool

    Key features

    • Tasks that auto-prioritize by urgency and importance
    • AI that breaks big tasks into small steps
    • Email, calendar, contacts and notes (beta)
    • Slack app with two-way synced Kanban boards
    • Capture tasks from any Slack conversation

    Pros

    • Completely free with no card
    • Clean, focused interface
    • Two-way Slack board sync

    Cons

    • Email, calendar, contacts and notes are still in beta
    • Not a general research or writing assistant
  7. Rank 7

    OrgLogic

A governed AI workspace with every major model, a company brain, AI agents and governance tools for IT and security teams.

    orglogic.ai

    8.3

    out of 10

Best for: Companies that want to consolidate AI tools and control model spend.

OrgLogic is an AI workspace for companies that want every model under one roof with IT in control. Employees get chat with frontier models, a Company Brain that answers from internal knowledge, shared spaces and a no-code agent builder, while IT gets shadow AI detection, an audit trail and cost management. It works on the web, in Slack, in Microsoft Teams and in Chrome.

The pricing is unusually transparent: the platform costs $8 per seat per month, and model usage is billed at cost when you bring your own keys or at cost plus 6% for models OrgLogic provisions. Teams of up to 25 users can use it free with no time limit and $20 of model credits per active user. The trade-off is more setup than a single-vendor assistant, but for companies paying for overlapping AI subscriptions, it can cut costs substantially.

    Standout feature

It charges $8 a seat and passes model usage through at cost when you bring your own keys.

    Use cases

    • IT leaders

Replace scattered AI subscriptions with one governed workspace

Outcome: Lower spend and full audit trail

    • Department heads

Build agents from templates for HR or finance

      Outcome: Automation without engineering

    Key features

    • AI chat with every frontier model
    • Company Brain for answers from company knowledge
    • No-code AI agent builder and agent templates
    • Shadow AI detection, audit trail and AI cost management
    • Available on web, Slack, Microsoft Teams and Chrome

    Pros

    • Free for up to 25 users with no time limit
    • Bring your own API keys with no surcharge
    • Governance included on every plan

    Cons

    • Model usage is billed separately from seats
    • Admin setup is more involved than a single-vendor assistant
  8. Rank 8

    Henry

An AI employee for teams that works in Slack, Microsoft Teams, iMessage and the web, with memory, tasks and 3,000+ integrations.

    usehenry.ai

    8.1

    out of 10

Best for: Teams that want one shared AI agent inside Slack or Teams.

Henry is pitched as an AI employee rather than a chatbot. It lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, as well as a web app, an iOS app, iMessage and SMS, and it keeps personal and workspace memory so it remembers decisions and people across conversations. You can assign recurring tasks that Henry runs and reports back on, organize work into projects by department and teach it your team's processes as skills. It connects to more than 3,000 integrations and can switch between models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others per workspace.

Pricing is usage-based: the Team plan starts at $50 a month for 25,000 credits with unlimited members, and credits cost $2.00 per 1,000 at every size. Quick lookups under five cents of model use are free. Costs therefore track how much work you hand it, which suits teams that want one shared agent rather than a seat for everyone.

    Standout feature

One Team plan covers unlimited members, with pricing based on work done rather than seats.

    Use cases

    • Startup teams

Ask Henry in Slack to draft a recap from Linear and Stripe

      Outcome: Reports without switching tools

    • Founders

Schedule recurring tasks and get reports

      Outcome: Routine work handled automatically

    Key features

    • Agent inside Slack and Microsoft Teams
    • Personal and workspace memory
    • Recurring tasks that Henry runs and reports on
    • 3,000+ integrations and a built-in browser agent
    • Choice of models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others

    Pros

    • Unlimited members on one shared workspace
    • Quick questions under 5 cents of model usage are free
    • Reachable by iMessage, SMS and voice

    Cons

    • Usage-based credits make monthly cost depend on workload
    • Smaller vendor than the big assistant providers
  9. Rank 9

    GPT Workspace

An AI add-on for Google Workspace that brings ChatGPT-style help to Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides and Drive.

    gpt.space

    8.0

    out of 10

Best for: Google Workspace users who want AI in Sheets formulas and Gmail replies.

GPT Workspace adds an AI assistant across Google Workspace: it can reply to Gmail, review Docs, generate Slides, search your Drive and, most usefully, run AI inside Google Sheets formulas. That last part sets it apart for people who process lists, categorize data or write product descriptions in bulk in spreadsheets. Standard adds unlimited chat credits, advanced models in Sheets and team billing.

The Starter plan at $9 a month is a low-cost way in but limits Sheets to standard models, and Standard at $29 per user is priced above Google's own AI Pro plan. Google's Gemini now covers much of the same ground inside Workspace, so GPT Workspace makes most sense if you want spreadsheet automation or prefer OpenAI-style models in your Google tools.

    Standout feature

It runs AI inside Google Sheets formulas for bulk spreadsheet work.

    Use cases

    • Ecommerce managers

Write product descriptions in bulk with Sheets formulas

Outcome: Hundreds of rows done in minutes

    • Account managers

      Draft Gmail replies with AI

      Outcome: Faster client responses

    Key features

    • Respond to emails in Gmail
    • AI formulas and models in Google Sheets
    • Generate Slides and review Docs
    • Access your entire Drive from chat
    • Team billing on Standard and a GDPR data processing agreement on Enterprise

    Pros

    • Works across Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides and Drive
    • Unlimited chat credits from Standard
    • Listed on the Google Workspace Marketplace

    Cons

    • Starter is limited to standard models in Sheets
    • Google's own Gemini plans now cover much of the same ground
  10. Rank 10

    Zenfox

A proactive AI assistant for life and work with deep research, connected apps, managed projects and AI workers.

    zenfox.ai

    7.6

    out of 10

Best for: Professionals who want an assistant that tracks projects and suggests next steps.

Zenfox aims to be proactive rather than reactive. It connects to your apps, keeps track of projects and changes, and suggests what to do before you ask, such as reworking a proposal when a client's priorities shift. Pro includes deep research, instant apps, 15 managed projects and five AI workers that keep ongoing tasks moving, and it covers personal tasks like trips and bookings as well as work.

At $29 a month, Pro costs more than the mainstream assistants, and team collaboration only arrives with Max at $99. Zenfox emphasizes encrypted data stored in your region and user control over which apps it can use, which will appeal to privacy-minded professionals. Consider it if you want an assistant that watches your projects for you; otherwise a mainstream plan is better value.

    Standout feature

It suggests next steps on your projects before you ask.

    Use cases

    • Consultants

Get alerted when a client project changes

      Outcome: Better prepared for calls

    • Busy professionals

Hand ongoing tasks to AI workers

      Outcome: Fewer things slipping

    Key features

    • Deep Research and Instant Apps
    • Connected apps with ongoing assistance
    • Managed projects, 15 on Pro and unlimited on Max
    • AI workers for ongoing tasks, 5 on Pro and 20 on Max
    • Encrypted data stored in your region

    Pros

    • Proactive suggestions before you ask
    • Covers personal and work tasks in one assistant
    • Free trial with no card

    Cons

    • Pro at $29 a month costs more than ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro
    • Team collaboration requires the $99 Max plan

Buying guide

How to choose

Start from the tools your company already uses

An assistant is most useful when it can read your email, files and calendar. Microsoft 365 Copilot works inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, Gemini works in Gmail and Google apps, and Notion AI works across your Notion workspace. Independent assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Henry connect to many apps but need setup.

Check data and training policies

For company data, use a business plan. ChatGPT Business and Claude Team both say they do not train on business content by default, and both include SSO. OrgLogic adds AI governance, audit trails and shadow AI detection for IT teams.

Compare per-seat and usage-based pricing

Most assistants charge per seat, typically $18 to $30 a month on annual billing. Henry and OrgLogic separate the platform fee from model usage, which can be cheaper for light users and more expensive for heavy ones.

Look for agents that act, not just chat

The newest assistants run recurring tasks, browse the web and take actions in connected apps. Henry runs scheduled tasks in Slack and Teams, Zenfox runs AI workers on ongoing projects, and Notion Agent completes multi-step tasks in Notion. Test one real workflow before you roll out to everyone.
